THE LANDINGS OF PRESCOTT VALLEY

We placed my mom in the memory care unit 3 months ago. She has adapted very well and loves it there, thanks to the caring and attentive staff. We visited 6 places in the area and chose this one as it seemed like all the residents and staff were a “family” of their own. The staff make sure residents are involved in the daily activities and encourage visiting family members to join in too. We are allowed to bring our two dogs in to visit mom and her friends and they just love petting them and giving them treats. So glad we were able to move mom into this facility!

The place is beautiful! Everyone is very nice and helpful in every way. My mom loves it there, she loves doing the activities. They always have neat things to do for residents and for us as family too.

My family toured several facilities in the area and decided to pay a premium to have our loved one at the Landings. While the nice furnishings and new building give you a sense of safety, the nursing care does not hold up. Medication distribution is the most worrying of the problems we experienced in regard to nursing. I won't name individuals or exact incidents but licensing complaints have been filed with the state of Arizona and I hope that the nursing and leadership staff take a serious look at the way they are doing business.

The Landings of Prescott Valley is just about the cleanest and most beautiful assisted living facility I have ever been to. The employees that I have met are very caring and compassionate people. The residents that I have come in contact with seem to be very happy there. If you are looking for a place for your loved one I would highly recommend them.

My mother lived at the Landings for a little over a year. She enjoyed the residents and a few of her caregivers. I am writing this review in honor of my mother and for the residents that live there. My mother experienced seven different occasions of theft. Reported but it continued. The most serious neglectful experiences were on three different occasions no one answered her call button for over 20 minutes. One she was vomiting in her bathroom, one she couldn’t breathe and needed help with oxygen and no one came to bring her food. All were reported and the excuse was understaffing and issues with call button. Both were unacceptable excuses and again nothing was done about it. I witnessed the weekend caregiving to be inattentive and not doing their jobs and no one overseeing them. There were three occasions where my mother wasn’t given her thyroid medications and blood pressure and thinner medications. All reported to head nurse and the excuse was computer glitches and pharmacy issues. My sister and I looked into both and both were proven untrue. Medications were not ordered by med techs and were not reported to us. My hope for the sake of all residents still living there that all these issues are taken very seriously for the safety and well being of them!
